To celebrate Friends 35th Anniversary in 2016, we have developed a major exhibition, Nurturing Creativity. A total of 35 works, one for each year of Friends, have been selected from 35 key graduates and masters from the CUHK Fine Arts Department. The curatorial strategy is to exhibit work in a range of mediums in order to pay tribute to the diversity of skills taught at the University. The featured artists are a mixture of established and emerging. Their work will be displayed at the Rotunda for a period of two and a half weeks from 20th September to 7 October, 2016.
As part of the program we are offering curated tours of the exhibit led by Laure Raibaut. Laure has over 10 years of experience working in the art world in England, France, the United States and Mainland China. After studying Chinese archaeology and attending the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, Laure worked for several Chinese contemporary art galleries, first in Beijing, then New York and Hong Kong, She launched the first Asian contemporary art auctions for Bonhams in Hong Kong before joining Christie's as vice- president and head of sale for Asian contemporary art.
