“Beauty gives one joy, and joy, in turn, generally adds new and productive facets to one’s overall perspective.” —David Rockefeller
Christie's Hong Kong has kindly invited members of the Friends of the Art Museum to attend a special lecture on the art collection of Peggy and David Rockeller.
Asian art dealer Robert Hatfield Ellsworth described the homes of Peggy and David Rockefeller as “brimming with marvelous works of art affectionately displayed… with an eye to marvelous juxtaposition and form.” Unrivaled in modern times, The Collection of Peggy and David Rockefeller reflects a lifelong passion for art and encompasses works of Impressionist, Modern, American, and Asian art; English and European decorative arts; and Chinese export porcelain. This art forum will explore the connection between art and object, generational collecting and the joy of connoisseurship.
The speakers for this forum are Mr Conor Jordan, the Deputy Chairman of Impressionist and Modern Art and Ms Becky MacGuire, Senior Specialist of Decorative Arts and Design at Christie’s.
Tickets are available through our Member Benefits programme; you must be a current Member or Young Friend to register. Registration closes on Thursday 23 November.
