The National Art Museum of China is bringing its world renowned collection of paintings by Ren Bonian (1840-1896) from Beijing to the Art Museum of CUHK.  As the pioneer of the ‘Shanghai school painting,’ Ren is widely considered to be the most important Chinese painter in the second half of the 19th century.

The Friends are delighted that Professor Josh Yiu, the fifth and current Director of the Art Museum, will guide us round this exhibition in its first opening weekend.

Do join the Friends for a special tour into the remarkable world of this modernist artist.

The guided tour is expected to last one hour with Q&A.
